For years, the media itself was the asset, from the footage and highlights to the episodes and the archive. Everything else was metadata—useful, but secondary to the asset. That is changing fast.
Our customers are telling us that the data surrounding their content is now just as valuable as the content itself. What’s in the library, how it’s being used, who is using it, and what it’s worth to the business are questions that drive real decisions, and the answers already live in the platforms that manage their media.
What we’re hearing from customers
Most of our customers already use AI assistants like Claude and ChatGPT in their day-to-day work. But a new kind of request is showing up in our conversations. Customers don’t just want AI to help them work faster but they want to pull the data we store and create on their behalf into their own home-grown workflows.
Two recent examples:
- A major sports media enterprise wants to connect its asset and usage data to internal tools so editorial, licensing, and sales teams can see what content is performing and where it’s going.
- A major television and production group is looking to bring library and business data into its own reporting stack to inform programming, distribution, and rights decisions.
Different businesses, same ask: give us access to the insights, not just the files.
Opening the doors to your data
Our platform sits at the center of how these organizations ingest, enrich, manage, and distribute media. That makes it a rich source of information that, until now, mostly stayed inside the application. We’re using our own tools to open it up.
The goal is simple: make this data available where customers already work, so it can feed their own pipelines, analytics, and AI workflows.
Faster turnaround: reports and dashboards on demand
The most immediate win is speed. Historically, a request like “show me which content was downloaded most by our partners last quarter” meant a ticket, a data pull, some spreadsheet work, and a few days of back-and-forth.
Today, we use our own AI-powered tooling to help turn that same request into a report, an interactive dashboard, or a customer-facing summary much more quickly.
That means:
- Faster answers for business teams who need data to make decisions now, not next week.
- Customer-ready outputs designed to be shared with stakeholders, partners, or leadership after a quick review.
- Repeatable views that can be refreshed as the data changes, instead of rebuilt from scratch.
What used to be a project is now a conversation.
Where this is heading
The organizations that get the most from their media will be the ones that treat its data as a first-class asset. We’re building toward a future where customers can tap into their inventory, business, and activity data as easily as they search their library, and act on it just as quickly.
If your team is asking similar questions of its own data, we’d love to talk. Reach out today to get the conversation started with one of our team members.
