With his brother, Ryan Steelberg, he has created tremendous shareholder and industry value by establishing AdForce, the world’s largest publicly traded, centralized, independent ad-serving solution, which received the Smithsonian Award for the Best Technology in 2000 before being sold to CMGI; 2CAN Media, the third-largest internet advertising sales organization, also sold to CMGI; and dMarc Broadcasting, the largest centralized radio advertising network company, sold to Google in 2006.
Ryan brings nearly 20 years of executive management experience in technology, marketing, business development and sales. He is considered one of the foremost experts in digital and online advertising. Since 1996, he and his brother Chad have raised more than $180 million in equity financing, managed 400+ employees and created in excess of $3.0 billion in shareholder value, through the successful founding, management, and liquidation of three industry impactful companies.
Pete came to Veritone with an extensive, 30-year background in finance, including six years as CFO of a high-growth, founder-directed apparel company that expanded from five domestic retail stores to over 125 domestic and 30 international stores. He has successfully directed compliance, investor relations, human resources and strategic planning functions in addition to leading major software implementations. Pete also served as partner at a ‘Big 6’ public accounting firm and holds a BS in commerce from Santa Clara University, in addition to being a CPA.
With over 25 years of legal and corporate leadership experience, Jeff is Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Veritone. He was previously responsible for global legal affairs, regulatory compliance and human resources at the Newport Corporation, a publicly-traded company with approximately $600 million in sales and 2,400 employees prior to its acquisition by MKS Instruments, Inc. Jeff received his JD from the University of Southern California and his BA in economics from Duke University.
With over 25 years of corporate organizational and human resources experience, John is Chief Human Resources Officer for Veritone. He was previously responsible for global human resources for Quest, a software leader with $900 million in sales and over 3,800 employees in 60 offices across 23 countries prior to its acquisition by Dell. Prior to Quest, John held senior human resources leadership roles with EMC, 3Com, and Digital Equipment Corporation. He attended Seton Hall University and Regis College and holds a degree in management and leadership. John is a U.S. Army veteran.
Scott is a seasoned digital technology executive with an extensive background in early-stage venture creation. He is an expert in the implementation, customization, and management of cloud-based SaaS solutions, business intelligence platforms, Big Data architecture, and global workflow management engines. He also has a long history in the development and productization of market leading digital media management, delivery, and analytics systems.
Stephan is a highly-experienced software product leader with a diverse background in engineering and product design as well as marketplace strategy and operations. With deep expertise in SaaS applications and AI-driven solutions, he has a strong record of building elegant, compelling, and scalable user experiences that drive organizational value. Prior to joining Veritone, Stephan held senior positions at Bottlenose, OpenX, Bluebeam Software, and Yahoo.
Tyler has over 20 years of diverse professional experience across multiple industries including media and entertainment, publishing, sports, and automotive. He serves as the general manager and strategic leader for the Veritone partner ecosystem, serving cognitive engine developers, application developers, and structured data provider. Prior to joining Veritone, he served as vice president and CFO of NHRA, a $100 million motorsport sanctioning body. He was also a management consultant at Deloitte, managing engagements with Fortune 500 companies.
Drew has over 20 years of experience in the media industry, with demonstrated expertise in advertising sales, technology operations, and partnership development. He has founded two companies in the e-commerce and online advertising space in addition to being a senior founding member of dMarc Broadcasting. Prior to joining Veritone, Drew served as a Senior Vice President for CBS Broadcasting, Regional Vice President, Sales for Clear Channel Radio and Senior Director of Sales for Google, managing content partnerships and advertising sales valued at $25 billion.
An entrepreneur and executive with demonstrated success in legal information systems, Michael has nearly 25 years of experience developing and implementing technology and software solutions for compliance, legal and related industries. Prior to joining Veritone, he served as managing partner of De Novo Legal where he designed, developed, and implemented the company’s eDiscovery offering while building three datacenters and an operations team of 30 eDiscovery professionals.
Kristy is a passionate product strategy executive who merges vision, tactics and resources to profitably expand revenue, while remaining singularly focused on delighting customers. She is known for her exceptional ability to refine and optimize client processes and operations, as well as foster strategic alignment among key stakeholders. Prior to Veritone, Kristy held senior product management positions in the technology sector, including a distinguished career at Intuit where she was responsible for over 600 software products. She earned her BSM in business and accounting from Tulane University.
John is a software executive with an evangelical passion for technology who has the unique ability to leverage technical knowledge and superior communication skills to align internal product, development, marketing, sales, and support teams with customer and market needs. Previously, John served as CEO of Silicon Valley-based SaaS company, Quorum, as well as VP and GM at Quest Software overseeing global enterprise sales and product management.
