The Veritone management team has extensive experience with media, telecom, software development and subscription-based businesses and successful track records in building, scaling and financing high-growth technology companies.
Chad Steelberg, CEO – Chad is a visionary serial entrepreneur who has co-founded several highly successful Internet software companies including AdForce, the world’s largest publicly traded, centralized, independent ad-serving solution, which received the Smithsonian Award for the Best Technology in 2000 before being sold to CMGI; 2CAN Media, the third-largest Internet advertising sales organization, also sold to CMGI; and dMarc Broadcasting, the largest centralized radio advertising network company, sold to Google in 2006.
Ryan Steelberg, president, Veritone Media – Ryan co-founded AdForce, 2CAN Media and dMarc Broadcasting, where he was responsible for building, developing and scaling the sales, marketing and business development functions. He is a highly accomplished business strategist and operator with over 20 years of digital and offline executive experience. Ryan was named one of the “50 Most Powerful People in Radio” by Radio Ink Magazine and named by the Sports Business Journal as one of their annual “Forty Under 40” award winners.
John Markovich, chief financial officer – John has more than two decades of executive financial management experience in leading both public and private high-growth technology companies through all phases of development, from pre-revenue VC-backed startups to a $1.2 billion NYSE-listed Fortune 500 company. He has negotiated and closed over $1.6 billion in corporate financing transactions, including Tickets.com’s $97 million IPO, and has significant experience in building scalable company infrastructures and negotiating, documenting and closing complex domestic and international financing and commercial transactions.
James Williams, chief technology officer – James brings more than 20 years of executive-level experience managing technology operations for both software and hardware development at high-growth companies, including Joyent, Teletrac and Google. He founded Thotspots, a software development firm, and has proven expertise in building high-performance engineering organizations and highly scalable software solutions for both early and later-stage high-growth technology companies.
